Cap 10-35 mm broad, sessile, fan-shaped, margin incurved and lobed, surface densely hairy, dry, grayish brown to gray when fresh, drying white; texture tough, leathery. Gills split lengthwise, radiating from point of Cap attachment, subdistant, narrow, tough, grayish brown with white edges. Stem absent. Spore Deposit white. Edibility: edible but too tough to eat.
