Cap 50-250 mm dia., circular and flattened to lobed, single or imbricate and arising from a central to lateral Stem, tomentose to hirsute, yellowish brown to dark reddish brown, margin often yellow to greenish yellow; flesh tough and leathery, yellowish brown to dark rusty brown. Pores angular, 1-2 per mm, yellowish brown to greenish yellow; tubes in a single layer, up to 15 mm long. Stem short and stout, up to 50 mm diameter. Spore Deposit white. Edibility; edible but too tough to eat.
