Cap 30-50 mm broad, bell-shaped to rounded-conical, expanding to plano-umbonate, covered with sulfur yellow powder, margin striate and splitting, sulfur-yellow overall. Gillss free, close, broad, yellow. Stem 30-50 x 3-4 mm, cylindrical above an enlarged base, powdery and yellow overall; with a small, membranous, yellow annulus near the apex. Spore Deposit white. Edibility: poisonous.
