Fruiting Body  50-120 mm broad x 1-2 mm thick, ear-shaped to convex-fan-shaped, texture rubbery, upper surface smooth to wrinkled, tomentose to velvety, lower surface smooth to veined, glabrous to pruinose, grayish brown, brown to purplish brown over­all with white to tan tomentum. Spore deposit  white. Edibility:  edible and choice.
