Habit Scandent to decumbent lianas; stems ca. 10-30 dm long, antrorsely puberulent.
Leaves Leaves oblong-elliptic to ovate or oblong-ovate, 7.5-15 cm long, 2-6.6 cm wide, glabrate except lower surface occasionally sparsely puberulent on margins or veins, margins serrate, occasionally remotely so, apex acute, base cuneate, petioles 2-5 cm long, glabrous or with a few scattered hairs. Flowers Flowers 6-14 per verticillaster, in unbranched, elongate, racemose inflorescences up to 20 cm long, pedicels 25-40 mm long, glabrous or with a few hairs at base, bracts ovate to elliptic, 7-21 mm long, usually sparsely ciliate, lowermost pair larger, 11-50 mm long; calyx narrowly obconical, ca. 6-8 mm long at anthesis, nerves inconspicuous, glabrous, the teeth deltate, unequally divided, ca. 2-3 mm long, apex rounded to obtuse, usually ciliate; corolla white, upper lip dark rose, tube 18-20 mm long, sparsely villous on dorsal surface, upper lip ca. 6 mm long, ciliate, lower lip ca. 12-15 mm long.
