[Mollugo tetraphylla L.] (nat) Glabrous annual, rarely biennial or perennial, herbs; stems ascending to nearly prostrate, 4-10 cm long, many-branched. Leaves oblong to obovate, 5-10 mm long, 2-6 mm wide, stipules narrowly lanceolate. Sepals obovate to oblong, strongly keeled, 1.5-2 mm long; petals oblanceolate; stamens (1-)3-5. Capsules ovoid, ca. 1.5 mm long. Seeds pale brown, translucent, somewhat angled, ca. 0.5 mm long. [2n = 32, 48, 54, 64.] Native to Europe; in Hawai‘i naturalized in usually dry, disturbed sites, 0-2,860 m, on all of the main islands except Ni‘ihau and 0‘ahu.
