Endemic Description as for the species. Fronds are flat, ovate, lanceolate, elliptic, or oblong, not long-linear and bottlebrushlike. Sori are subterminal. Found on all major islands. By far the most common variety. Adenophorus tamariscinus var. tamariscinus may be distinguished from var. montanus by its generally flat blades, and sori that are subterminal, not protruding from margins.
