Racemes terminal or axillary, to 16 cm long, the flowers bracteate, oblique on pedicels; bracts subulate, ca 3 mm long; pedicels 5 (6) mm long; calyx ca 7 mm long, lobed three-fourths of its length, hirtellous, the lobes slenderly lanceolate, to 5 mm long; petals yellow, tinged with purple, with thin longitudinal ribs; standard to 1 cm long; wings to 8 mm long with a claw ca 2 mm long, the keel united along upper common margins, to 12 mm long; style linear, strigose, curving into sac formed by keel, then following bottom surface of keel forward.
