Dryopteris ampla (H. & B. ex Willd.) Kunze Terrestrial, moderately tall. Leaves 2-pinnate-pinnatifid or 3-pinnate; petiole and rachis with deciduous, lanceolate scales especially at nodes; rachis and midrib of leaflets moderately scaly below, densely pubescent above with jointed trichomes; pinnae oblong-lanceolate in outline, ca 40 cm long, tapered to an acuminate apex; secondary pinnae to 10 cm long; leaflets oblong, ca 1.5 cm long, toothed or lobed nearly to middle, blunt at apex, with a few trichomes scattered on lateral veins.
